In this video we can see how a dog risks his life to save his companion that suffered an accident. I think that human beings should take this as an example to follow.
After watching this video I immediately remembered a friend of mine who used to have a dog which had given birth to three puppies. One day, my friend found a recently born kitty abandoned in the street and took him home with her. The dog voluntarily breastfed him and took care of the cat as if he was one of her own species. Nature knows best!
I think we humans are all the time teaching animals especially dogs to be violent, corageous, protectors but we never teach them to be generous, solidary, and other worthy values... they seem to be part of their nature ... my neighbours teach their dogs to kill cats, some others teach each others dogs to fight every time the meet although they are neighbours, other people teach their parrots to say bad words, and then when someone commits an atrocity we exclaim: what an animal!!!
whoever saves one life deserves everyone's respect. In this case it was a dog and as you said, we human beings "should take this as an example to follow".
